On Via Montenapoleone, in the heart of the fashion quadrilateral.

While in Paris, the maison Saint Laurent is preparing to open a sushi restaurant, in anticipation of the start of Fashion Month, its counterpart Louis Vuitton has decided to announce the opening of a new venue in the heart of Milan. More precisely, within the Quadrilatero della Moda, in the prestigious Via Montenapoleone. In collaboration with Da Vittorio, one of the city’s most celebrated restaurants, boasting three Michelin stars, the venue DaV by Da Vittorio Louis Vuitton will open this April inside Palazzo Taverna, accessible from the maison’s showroom and Via Bagutta. Announcing the news, the Cerea family (owners of the Da Vittorio Group) stated that the Louis Vuitton restaurant and café will offer «the best of Italian tradition in a contemporary cultural context, with international creativity where the concept of sharing will be central».

The collaboration between Da Vittorio and Louis Vuitton marks the first chapter of the French maison’s gastronomic adventure in Italy. After opening restaurants, bars, and cafés in France’s most beloved tourist destinations, from Paris to St Tropez, as well as in Japan, China, and the United States, this March, the brand will also inaugurate a new restaurant in Bangkok, in collaboration with Michelin-starred chef Gaggan Anand. Louis Vuitton’s Art de la Table collections decorate each of the brand’s openings, while the interior and exterior design of the venues blend Louis Vuitton’s stylistic codes with the surrounding environment and culture. Judging by the attention the maison is dedicating to international gastronomy, it seems that 2025 will be the year of fine dining for fashion. However, as specified by the Cerea family, the Milanese restaurant will offer a casual dining experience, characterized by modernized Italian recipes. That is, if it can truly be called casual.
