Amazon COVID-19 Supplies Storefront

Amazon has stopped selling face masks, large-volume hand sanitizers, surgical gloves and facial shields to general consumers and is instead reserving these high-demand products for hospitals and government agencies, corralling them in a dedicated COVID-19 supplies store that requires organizations to register and be approved to gain access. Suppliers are also encouraged to reach out to the company.

A note on the storefront says that Amazon is urgently working to procure critical supplies and will not make a profit on this service: “We are waiving all standard referral fees for all third-party sellers on products for this effort.” By eliminating the fees (through June 30, 2020), Amazon hopes to encourage suppliers to make additional inventory of these products available at competitive prices to these customers with the greatest need.
