Skechers is to open a store within the new Fashion Quarter at Telford Shopping Centre.

The footwear retailer has taken a ten year lease on a 2,936 square foot shop that will open this Easter.

Other retailers taking space at the Fashion Quarter in recent months include Superdry, H&M, River Island, New Look, Next, Jamaica Blue, Coffee Number 1 and Deichmann.

Mike Thomas, senior asset and development manager at Sovereign Centros, said: “We continue to outperform national shopping centre trends at the Telford Centre, with footfall up 10% over the past year. The recent signings are testament to a clear strategy and vision for the exciting Fashion Quarter. Across the board, we have delivered a major transformation for the centre and have confirmed the schemes position as the dominant retail destination in the catchment.”
