Wayfair, a online retailer of home furnishings, opened its first, full-service, physical retail store at the Natick Mall in Massachusetts.

“Consumers will be able to select from hundreds of items available off-the-shelf and shop Wayfair’s full catalog across every style and price point,” said Ed Macri, Wayfair’s chief product and marketing officer. “The store provides yet another way for our customers to seamlessly navigate the entire shopping experience for the home.”

The Wayfair store features hundreds of products for in-store purchase and a variety of curated spaces with products available for home delivery. Shoppers can also visit the Wayfair home bar for complimentary design advice.

Using the Wayfair room planner, consultants helps shoppers recreate rooms in their home or provide a blank canvas to reimagine their space. By mixing and matching products from Wayfair’s catalog in their digital room, shoppers can combine styles and layouts and then visualize their creations in virtual reality at full scale.

In addition, shoppers are able to log into the Wayfair room planner from home, picking up where they left off with their designer to continue transforming their space. Shoppers also are able to use Wayfair’s custom upholstery program to customize handcrafted furniture pieces across hundreds of colors and fabrics.

Wayfair also opened four Decor & Inspiration pop-up shops earlier this month at the Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, Ill., the Streets at Southpoint in Durham, N.C., the King of Prussia Mall in King of Prussia, Pa., and Tysons Corner Center in Tysons, Va. Open until Oct. 31, the pop-up shops offer a curated selection of decorative accents, wall decor and seasonal pieces for in-store purchase.
