Zara launches online shopping in UAE
High street brand Zara has launched its online shopping platform in the UAE in both English and Arabic, offering womenswear, menswear, childrenswear and TRF lines. Shoppers will be able to pay by card at the time of purchase or by cash at the time of delivery.
Shipping is priced at $7 (AED25) per order, while orders that exceed $55 (AED200) will be delivered for free. Customers in a rush to receive their online orders can also opt to pick up them up at any Zara store.
Returns are allowed to be made within a 30 day period since the date of shipping. Items can either be returned in-store or picked up from the customers’ home for free, though they need to request a return online to organise a courier.
Zara announced in November last year that it will expand online sales to an additional 106 countries, mostly in Africa, according to its owning company Inditex, one of the world’s largest fashion retailers.
It includes brands including Pull&Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho, Zara Home and Uterqüe, which is sells across 202 markets online or 96 markets through its more than 7,000 stores.
Azadea, which operates the Zara franchise in MENA, has been contacted for a comment on when it will launch its online shopping platform in the rest of the GCC.
