Paypal Introduces Digital Cards To Send Money To Friends
Paypal has integrated a card-making feature into its app. This new treat was scheduled to coincide with ‘Friendship Day’ on August 8. With it, users can choose from templates and personalize the cards with messages.
The move is also a thank you from the platform that simplified transferring money to friends. According to internal studies, Americans pay back friends up to 35 times in a single year. Paypal also mentions that, due to the rise of platforms like itself, sending money to friends and family members without any special reason or need has become more common. In its post about the new feature, Paypal also included an interesting tip: if you want to cash in on your friends, make sure you set them up with the right partner. Americans are most generous towards the friends who introduced them to their husbands or wives.
The cards can be made for free and adding money to them is optional. However, most friends would probably appreciate a boost on their Paypal balance.
