A huge new Decathlon store has opened in Liverpool city centre today at the site of the former Next.
The French sporting brand has taken over the ground floor of the building on Church Street, bringing its wide range of athletic wear, sporting equipment, camping goods and more to Liverpool’s bustling high street. The new Decathlon store is set over 2,500 sqm and has created 40 jobs in the city.
The new Liverpool branch opened its doors at 11am on Wednesday, April 28, with shoppers flocking to the shop to be the first to browse the retailer’s selection of clothing and equipment. At the store, customers can shop for clothing and gear for over 70 sports in total.
Shoppers can ask the new Decathlon store’s team for expert advice on products and can try on items before purchasing. Decathlon’s retail leader in the North, Ross Farrington, said: “We’re delighted to be opening a brand new flagship store in the vibrant and sport loving city of Liverpool.
