The signage style in Genoa

Genoa is home to an enviable mix of architecture, with palazzos and churches set in renaissance, gothic and baroque styles. Yet on closer inspection a similar diversity is seen on shopfronts where signs advertising businesses are composed in a variety of letterforms.
