But these two hexagonal structures are not alien invaders. Instead, they are pop-up spaces designed to promote the Nike + Running Club. Created by Coordination Asia, the two spaces function as an interactive running hub and information centre.

Futuristic in style and kaleidoscopic in feel, with LED lights on the walls and ceilings, they feature state-of-the-art treadmills pods which can transmit a runner’s real-time stats onto display surfaces within the pop-up space. They also transmit these onto external screens via live broadcast.

Runners can check-in on arrival to the hub and personalise their running experience with the aid of on-site training sessions with professionals, as well as sample new running tech demonstrations.
