CVS Pharmacy moves to digital paper receipts

The digital strategy, slated to start this month, will retain all the customer loyalty and rewards now produced on paper and include personal savings offers as well, according to anannouncement.

The new option will eventually be available in 7,900 retail locations.

CVS Pharmacy President Helena Foulkes unveiled the digital approach in a recent appearance on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live.

To opt in customers do a one-time enrollment with an email address at the register or via a store associate.

“We are excited to roll out the much-anticipated launch of digital receipts. We heard loud and clear that while our customers love receiving coupons and special offers, many wanted a paperless option,” said Helena Foulkes, president, CVS Pharmacy, in the announcement. “This feature lets our customers continue to make personalized choices as to how they engage with us, and will let our members choose to say ‘So long’ to the long paper receipts at check-out.”
