Hollister will be relocating to a larger store within Cardiff’s St David’s shopping centre.

Due to open in the spring, the new shop will be situated on the centre’s Upper Grand Arcade near to Victoria’s Secret, Bershka and Stradivarius.

In addition to Hollister clothing, the store will sell a range of Gilly Hicks lingerie, loungewear and sleepwear. It will also aim to offer customers an enhanced shopping experience where they can engage with the brand both in-store and online.

Daniel Le Vesconte, GVP of global brands EMEA at Hollister, said: “We are excited to continue to serve our St David’s customers through an updated brand experience that meets their ever-changing needs. With both Hollister and Gilly Hicks, customers can explore high-quality products in a seamless, omnichannel environment.”

The news follows a successful new store opening programme for St David’s in 2019 when retailers such as Hotel Chocolat, Levi’s, ECCO, FatFace and Skechers launched new or upsized stores.

In addition, anchor store John Lewis & Partners invested in a new ‘Beauty Society’ concept in response to the beauty sector’s strong performance in Cardiff.

Speaking on behalf of the St David’s Partnership, Colin Flinn, Intu’s regional managing director, said: “2019 was another strong year at St David’s, with new international entrants, significant upsizes, and investment from high-performing retailers. The Hollister relocation and upsize is testament to the importance of St. David’s as a prime urban retail centre, and the continued growth of Cardiff as a leading city within the UK.”
