The Vancouver-based activewear giant is opening a new store in Milan on July 19, marking its official entry into the Italian market

Lululemon is set to open its first store in Italy, planting a flag in Milan’s high-traffic fashion district as part of its broader push to expand internationally and capture more of the European activewear market, adding to its existing locations in the U.K., France, Germany and Spain.

The two-story store, opening July 19 at Vittorio Emanuele II 24/28, will feature a 3D-printed Lululemon Glide sculptural façade inspired by the brand’s Define Jacket pattern. Inside, the Vancouver-based activewear giant will offer its men’s and women’s collections, spanning yoga, running, tennis, golf and more.

Shoppers at the new store will gain access to the brand’s full inventory through its Endless Aisle BBR (“Back Back Room”) technology, which determines product availability. International visitors will also benefit from Global Blue’s tax-free shopping.

Beyond retail, the Lululemon is planning a series of community-focused activations in Milan, including partnerships with local studios, run clubs and a new ambassador program.

The news comes on the heels of Lululemon landing at London’s Heathrow Airport, where a new store in Terminal 5 brings travel-ready style and performance to one of the world’s busiest hubs. Elsewhere, Lululemon is expanding its corporate footprint, having signed one of Vancouver’s largest office leases in recent years, according to CoStar. The company will take over nearly 300,000 square feet at 725 Granville St., a space previously occupied by Microsoft.
