Amazon is continuing its UK bricks and mortar push with the opening today of an Amazon Fresh store at Wembley Park, London.

It’s the second such convenience store to offer Just Walk Out Shopping tech in the UK, which was pioneered at the Amazon Go offering in the States.

This follows the 4th March launch of Amazon Fresh, the e-commerce giant’s first physical shop and first grocery store outside of the US, in Ealing, London.

The new 2,500 square feet location can be found at Unit 3, Wembley Park Boulevard, London, HA9 0HP.

It will be open from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm, seven days a week.

Shoppers use the Amazon app to enter and buy items, bagging them as they go.

At the end, they don’t need to stand in queue or check out. They are automatically billed as they leave.

Matt Birch, Director, Amazon Fresh Stores UK, says: “Since opening our first Amazon Fresh store in Ealing, we’ve heard from our customers how much they enjoy the tasty food from our new ‘by Amazon’ range and the effortless shopping experience.”

He adds: “We are excited to open our second shop today in Wembley Park. Our Just Walk Out technology makes shopping for essential grocery items even more convenient.”

Amazon said that it planned further openings in the greater London area, although it did not reveal exact numbers or locations.
